There is a wide range of insulation options but we’ve listed the most popular options below:

  • Alububble single-sided – you can get it in white/black or silver: R-value 1.103.
  • Alububble double-sided – only available in silver: R-value 1.58.
  • Alutherm – available in 50mm to 135mm: R-value 1,25 to 3.38.

We can also offer a more rigid option from Lambdaboard.

Lambdaboard offers an over-purlin/under-purlin installation.  It allows for a more aesthetic finish with great insulation values. It is also available in a white mineral facing, and is paintable if you wish and you can also buy it in tongue & groove.

Most popular options:

  • 50mm: R-value 2.08
  • 60mm: R-value 2.50

A good rule is to allow at least 5% of your floor area as ventilations through means of ventilators or louvers. So, if you have a 1000m2 floor, you need 50m2 of natural ventilation.

A good rule is to allow at least 20% of your floor area as natural light through means of polycarbonate sheeting.  So, if you have a 1000m2 floor, you need 200m2 of natural light.

From final approval, we can normally be on site within 4 weeks, and install around 3 tons per day. A detailed program will be discussed with you showing the complete duration of the project.

Roof leaks normally start at the screws because metal expands and contracts over time. The screw hole becomes slightly bigger, and the washers start to wear off. The best would be to replace the screws and washers, rather than to “pap & lap” or to paint it with rubber paint.

              Things you can do:

  • Check your roof flashings, and make sure it is watertight.
  • When it rains, mark the spots on the floor, so that when the rain stops you can remember the exact spots where the leak was.

Valostar has a construction agreement in place that covers both the client and the company (the contractor), as both parties run the risk. We also have a “cession of deed” that we sign that gives the client surety of material off-site.

The old saying “If it seems too good to be true, it probably is” is still true today.

  • Do your homework when you are comparing prices and make sure you understand what you are getting as well as what is not included in your order.
  • Read reviews on Google about the company and ask for previous references.
  • Visit their offices and workshop, and preferably one of their sites where they are busy with a job.
  • Ask what quality procedures are in place. This way, you will be able to find out whether you will be getting what you are paying for.

Please read this blog to learn more about things to consider when starting a construction project.
